Curriculum

Future 250 ELITE HIGH SCHOOL BOYS FIELD GOALKEEPERS
During the Future250 High School camp goalkeepers will experience components from all four major facets within the game of soccer (Tactical, Technical, Physical and Mental). Examples of such are:

  • Technical concepts—Catching and handling, diving, distribution,
    dealing with crossed balls, breakaways.
  • Tactical concepts—Anticipation/decision making, organizing the
defense, angle play, restarts, initiating the attack.
  • Physical—Agility and mobility work, plyometric and strength work,
flexibility and coordination, effectiveness of correct warm-up and cool down.
  • Mental—Leadership, self-confidence, training ethics, dealing with pressure, success and failure.

The main focus will be on advanced goalkeeping skills. Students will explore all aspects of goalkeeping and will see what it takes to perform at the top collegiate level. Students will leave with a sense of self confidence that will aid them on and off the field. Their new found knowledge and understanding of their position and of the game of soccer will help them to become an integral part of their team’s success.
